I had a lot of feelings about the finale for TADC, which I finally watched on Sunday.
so many feelings in fact, that I decided I was gonna draw some of them (this was a mistake).
I went to bed with my shoulder starting to hurt not long after I got done, and it got so bad I couldn't fall asleep and practically didn't sleep before going into work. I had almost no mobility in my arm, and it was so constant of a sharp pain that every time I had to talk to someone it was a struggle not to get visibly bothered.
Luckily, I got to the ortho today, and it turns out I have calcific tendinitis. Basically, my body put calcium in some holes in my shoulder tendon (caused by sports injuries, almost assuredly), and I managed to irritate it and flare it up so bad that the whole tendon is inflamed now. The doctor said that based on the size of it these injuries had to have been at minimum 5 years old, which just blows my mind that I somehow skirted past getting this level of pain for years on end.
It sucks, but I've got meds now so it should start to get better over the course of the next week and a half. although it double sucks because I was going to Evo this weekend, and it's too late to get a refund/sell my badge to a friend. Just gotta eat the cost sadly, because the alternative of going and being miserable sounds worse.
but it also TRIPLE sucks because now if I'm gonna be free this weekend, I can't even spend time drawing or playing games, because both put me in agony ;_;
Still though it blows my mind that I wasn't like, lifting weights or doing anything physically active that actually triggered this, it was drawing.
